ioVista at SHOT Show 2026: Connecting 2A Brands to Scalable Commerce

Knives, Guns, and Tequila, Oh My!

Shot Show 2026

A Quick Reflection on SHOT Show 2026

January 20, 2026, has come and gone, but the energy of the week still lingers, along with a few unforgettable tequila glass guns.

SHOT Show has a way of compressing a year’s worth of conversations into a few days. This year was no exception. Between foot traffic, partner meetups, and hallway hellos that turned into real discussions, SHOT Show 2026 delivered the kind of momentum you feel long after you’ve unpacked your badge and lanyard.

A Little Prep (Because it Matters)

As everyone knows, every successful trade show starts before the lights come on and the doors open. For us, it meant aligning the team, tightening the message, and bringing something to the booth that felt undeniably on brand.

Enter: tequila served in glass gun-shaped bottles.

What started as a playful idea quickly became a magnet for curiosity, and, unexpectedly, one of the best conversation starters we’ve ever brought to a show.

Business, Not As Usual

Now, back to the tequila glass guns. They worked.

Attendees gravitated toward our booth, curious about the display. Many assumed we had manufactured the glass gun bottles ourselves. We clarified that we hadn’t, though we happily leaned into the fun.

The tequila glasses created what every exhibitor hopes for: a natural conversation starter.

What began as: “Where did you get these?”

Often ended as: “Tell me more about what ioVista does!”

And from there, the conversations got really good!

This year, we had some of the most engaging discussions we’ve had at SHOT Show, especially around where marketing and eCommerce are heading next in the 2A industries and outdoor space.

most engaging discussions we’ve had at SHOT Show

  • AEO / AI SEO: And what it means for product discovery in a world where search is changing fast
  • Influencer Marketing: That goes beyond vanity metrics and actually drives revenue
  • UGC (User Generated Content): As a performance asset, not just a brand play
  • Digital Transformation: For brands ready to scale smarter
  • AI: The practical, operational kind that improves workflows and customer experience.
  • Replatform/Migration: And what it means for brands that have outgrowth their current platform

The common thread across all of these conversations? Brands are hungry for what works now, and they’re thinking beyond quick fixes. That made the week feel less like a trade show, and more like a real-time industry pulse check.

Partner Dinner at Sugarcane

In attendance were valued partners and friends:

  • Jacob Tooman from Avalara
  • Samantha Vick, Ryan St. Peter, & Jacob Millorino from Dotdigital
  • Mike Mahoney from BigCommerce
  • Lauren Jones from Athos Commerce

The evening wasn’t about selling. It was about strengthening relationships, aligning strategies, meeting new clients and identifying new opportunities to serve clients collaboratively.

The Cold Front & The Exit

As the show concluded on Friday, an unprecedented winter storm began sweeping across parts of the United States, particularly affecting travel in the southern regions.

Flight cancellations started rolling in, and everyone got a bit anxious about being stuck in Vegas.

Team ioVista pushed forward and navigated the travel challenges successfully. Everyone made it home safely, though not all of our colleagues and industry friends were as fortunate. Some were forced to reroute or extend their stays.

Trade shows test more than your booth setup, they test your resilience.
